Kashin Patel (b. 1997) graduated with an MA in Painting from the Royal College of Art, London (2022) and previously attained her BFA in painting at Sir J. J. School of Art, Mumbai (2020). Kashin’s work highlights the self and what it means for it to exist in society. Themes of relationships, isolation, and anxiety are all depicted through a narrative of experiences, with the frequent use of humour that allows her to express gravity without the weight. With her current exploration of headspace, she traces the origins of ideas while focusing on the feelings experienced in the process of their realisation. She currently lives in and practices out of her studio in Mumbai, India.
