Rashmie Tyagi is an artist based out of Mumbai. A graduate in Psychology and English Literature from Lucknow, India she is a recipient of the the Maharashtra State Award for Painting in 2018 awarded by The Prafulla Art Foundation. Rashmie visits the inner recesses of her mind again and again, and she taps into her innate sense of the unseen yet ‘felt’ experiences, to convey through her art, her interpretation of the sensory versus the tactile. With the infinite horizon of the sea as a constant source of inspiration, the presence of lines, colours and depth is evident in her works. She has developed a unique style of painting that resonates instantly with the mind even while one is still visually perceiving the composition of the piece. Rashmie has showcased her art in various group and solo exhibitions across galleries in India,Middle East and Europe.
