Ravi Morya

Ravi Morya (b.1992, Gwalior) pursued BFA in Painting from RMT University. His works have been exhibited in solo and group shows in India, including Kalavithika Gwalior, Natura Urbana, Space 118, Round Them Oranges. He has been part of many group shows such as Art Incept Grant Show, Birla Academy Kolkata, and others.

Ravi was the recipient of a Young Artist scholarship from the Ministry of Culture. He is also the recipient of the Prafully Dhanukar Art, Cima Award, MP state Award, and All India Art Award from the state gallery of Hyderabad.

His subject tends to be fragmentary, dilapidated environments around us that reside  with the mundane. These spaces in our world are often sees but unnoticed . By bringing them into art, he becomes cognizant of the world around him . His work is influenced by his perception of our surroundings, visual memories, and a certain imagery which speaks to him through constantly shifting images, forms and colors in nature. Ravi Morya lives and works in Delhi, India.
