Nilesh P. Shaharkar is a multidisciplinary artist based in Mumbai. He holds a Master in Fine Art (MFA) and a Bachelor in Fine Art (BFA) from the prestigious Sir J. J. School of Art, Mumbai University.

His work has been recognized with numerous awards and scholarships including the Lalibai Dharamdas Bhamhani Scholarship of the Bombay Art Society in 2018, and the Young Artist Scholarship Awarded by the Department of Culture, Govt. of India, New Delhi from 2003 to 2005. He has also been awarded the Merit Grant Award and the All India Merit Grant for Painting in Kalanand Art Exhibition by Prafulla Dahanukar Art Foundation.

Shaharkar held his first solo show at Jehangir Art Gallery in Mumbai in 2015 and has participated in several group shows at museums and galleries in cities throughout India. In addition to his work as an artist, Shaharkar has served as a judge for the Tata Institute of Fundamental Research (TIFR Center), Mumbai in 2012, and has participated in several national and international art events across the country.
